Skiing and beer, what could possibly be better?
A couple of times a year, the Kaldor team shuts down the studio for the day and heads off on an adventure of their own creation. We call it Kaldor Day.
For the last couple of years the avid ski/snowboard contingent among us has won out selecting our winter excursion. Whistler is just too irresistibly close, and the deep snowfalls of early 2017 called out. The competition is strong (really) on the mountain. It’s never spoken out loud, but we all know who the fastest is. Claire Lester, you will forever remain the most graceful and fearless girl on our ski-team.
Three cheers for Airbnb; it’s so much easier these days to find a place to stay, and just like that, our Kaldor Day has become Kaldor Days.
Tired and a little bruised we make our way back to the city, armed with many stories and some new mythology. We are firm believers that getting out of the studio creates a better team and opens our eyes to creative opportunity, not to mention some healthy and stiff competition.
