Challenge: Redesign VCC’s existing Continuing Studies flyer to organize program and course information more effectively, present a stronger sales approach and allow prospective students easy access to a variety of information.
Our Thinking: VCC offers a wide variety of Continuing Studies courses but the sheer volume of information presented a challenge for prospective students to find program details quickly and easily. To help VCC highlight the most relevant details, we redesigned the brochure by introducing a hierarchy of information using sidebars, larger type and colour coding of related facts and created a template that VCC could update three times a year in-house. Also, we revamped their “register online” icon to make it more accessible to a variety of internet users.
Results: Early results suggest that the flyer’s approach is supporting the increasing number of online registrations and is streamlining service for students.
