Challenge: After a significant project setback with Galore Creek in November 2007, NovaGold engaged Kaldor to review its communications focus and help rebrand this North American mining company across a multitude of materials.
Our Thinking: Through shareholder research, we determined that faith in the company and management team was shaken, not lost. Our immediate communications recommendation was to re-establish the personal connection between management and major investors. A brand strategy process followed, which positioned NovaGold based on its core competency: gold exploration and development through a holistic approach. We then planned, copy-wrote and designed the 2007 Annual Report and redesigned the corporate profile, investor presentation and investor folder.
Results: Released in April 2008, our branded work helps NovaGold enter conferences and investor events with communications materials that are as strong as their management team and track record in performance.
